Expectations—Practice & Performance
Participating in the senior play is a major commitment both in time and spirit.
Calendars through March are available on-line at the senior play website.
We try to make as few changes as possible.
Practice is mandatory for any scene in which the student is involved. It is impossible to rehearse with people absent. We cannot and will not tolerate absences or excessive tardies.
We generally try to rehearse two days per week and reserve another day for choreography. These choreography days are scheduled by song; therefore, cast members attend only the rehearsal for the numbers in which they are involved.
Students are expected to call Mrs. Hodge or Mr. Alder prior to practice if there is an illness or a family emergency. All other activities, including work commitments, should be scheduled around practice times.
Students must have transportation to and from rehearsals.
Note: Some students may be asked to enroll in voice lessons.
Maintaining a passing grade in all subjects is mandatory.
Performance Dates
Ticket Information
Tickets go very quickly. Tickets go on sale to cast members prior to opening sales to the public, and last year the Friday evening performance was sold out on the evening of the parent meeting. Teresa Franklin will allow parents to first purchase tickets at the next parent meeting on February 15, 2011.
Information
Please check your information on the contact list. Check the website for important information and last-minute emergency needs. Students should also check for reminders regarding practices.
Costumes
Please refer to the very tentative costume list provided for your senior’s needs. All costumes must be ready by January 16 and brought to rehearsal at CNC for inspection and trial on stage for fit, etc. Accessories, shoes and hand props should be brought to these rehearsals also. Cast members will be given garment bags labeled with names for transporting costumes.
Rented costumes will be checked in the night of the last performance. All other costumes will be checked by Mrs. Henderson and are due by April 1. All garments should be clean, pressed, and hung in garment bag assigned. Miscellaneous items should be labeled and put into clear bags.
Seamstresses are desperately needed.
